  In search for a good GP! Definition; a good GP can be one of the most important people in your life, particularly if you have a chronic condition or develop a serious illness. A positive ongoing relationship with your GP is priceless, so it's important to choose the right one… Yes, I have called - Lake Kawana General Practice with strong emphasis that I am a new in the area and I’m looking for a good GP. I had an appointment the same day, and have to admit that I like the clean and nice premise’s many admin staff, unfortunately, service like in fast food restaurant. No waiting, though that’s good, actually I got straight in to see GP. I have presented my problem, and after quick 'examination' I was told I’m fine and in case pain persist to take a “painkillers” I start telling the Dr that when I cough I have difficulty to breath, and if he can listen to my chest, stating I do have lungs problem. I was asked if I wheeze,, totally confuse I said No but, when I cough I can breath and feel the stabbing pain... I was told no need for Inhaler, and ask for checking my chest has been ignored. I was so shocked, have to add in the past, I suffer from acute asthma attacks, and have bee hospitalised many times. I got to the front counter only to be told I’m to pay $110 after 6 minutes of ‘consultation’, when I question the amount, I was also told I need to claim on line and Medicare will pay more that way. It took me some time to overcome the shock; I genuinely believe I have been let down.
